The sport a festival of light makes
The sport made by a gala of light
Mysteriously in my life...
Privately in my life...
I have grasped it, and I've gleaned
I have caught it, and I've gleaned
This is Your liila with me personally.
It's Your liila with me personally.

Studiously I weave Your victory wreath,
Studiously I weave Your victory wreath,
Line 67: Line 67:
In the corners of my mind.
In the corners of my mind.

Let me enlighten my the coming days
With dawn's crimson color I paint
with dawn's crimson rays.
The days that yet to me remain.

Mind's ecstasy and heart's gusto
A joyintoxicated mind
Undulate in this pleasure grove.
an exuberant heart
vibrate the fragrant garden of my life.

Alora mela kare je khela is the 443rd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álora melá kare je khelá
Mor jiivane saḿgopane
Dhare phelechi jene niyechi
E tava liilá ámári sane

Chande chande gáṋthi tava jayamálá
Gandheri ucchváse bhare túli d́álá
Háráno sukher smrti ábár phire je áse
Ámár manera końe

Uśár aruń rauṋe ráuṋiye tuli
Sammukhe raye geche je dinguli
Maner mádakatá hiyára ucchalatá
Dolá diye jáy madhuvane

The sport made by a gala of light
Privately in my life...
I have caught it, and I've gleaned
It's Your liila with me personally.

Studiously I weave Your victory wreath,
And fill my wicker basket[nb 2] with scented yearning.
Memories of forgotten joys are revived
In the corners of my mind.

With dawn's crimson color I paint
The days that yet to me remain.
Mind's ecstasy and heart's gusto
Undulate in this pleasure grove.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ According to the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary d́álá (ডালা) is a tray-shaped basket that typically is used for holding offerings to a deity.
