Don't look about with eyes so teary;
“do not look with tearful eyes like this,
I am here, right by your side.
i am there with you intimately, what has
What has happened, won't you tell Me?
happened, tell me. who has given you mental agony?

who has not understood your internal
Who indeed is He that has given a mind misery,
struggle? who is that merciless, who has made you
Who did not comprehend the heart's story?
afflicted by inflicting mental agony?
Who is He, the Ruthless One that has flustered,
Who has not kept the words after promising
Agony having inflicted inside psyche.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Aman jalbhará cokhe ceyo ná
Ámi áchi tomár káchákáchi
Kii hayeche more balo ná

Ke bá se diyeche antare vyathá
Ke se bojhe ni marmeri kathá
Ke se niśt́hur kareche vidhur
Manamájhe diye vedaná

Kathá diye ke bá kathá rákhe niko
Viińár tárete sur tole niko
Ásibe baliyá phire áse niko
Priitite d́heleche chalaná

Don't look about with eyes so teary;
I am here, right by your side.
What has happened, won't you tell Me?

Who indeed is He that has given a mind misery,
Who did not comprehend the heart's story?
Who is He, the Ruthless One that has flustered,
Agony having inflicted inside psyche.

Word having given, oh Who failed to keep His promise,
Did not raise a tune on the strings of His veena?
Saying that He will return, He did not revisit;
Upon love, He has poured deceit.
