Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámi cáridike dekhi notun háoyá
Notun rauṋe notun parash páoyá
O se eseche ki áse nái go
Torá bale de bale de bale de go

Vane páháŕe áj phuler melá
Nácte giye gelo gaŕiye belá
Áj gharke jete man cáy ná je go
Ke se bájikar eseche eseche go

Ámi kadam phule khoṋpá beṋdhechi go
Kalke phuler dul duliyechi go
Táke sauṋge niyei áj gharke jábo
Tár áge jábo ná jábo ná jábo ná go

On all sides I feel a new atmosphere,
Having new color and a new touch.
Oh, has He arrived; is He not come?
Tell me, tell me, tell me please.

Now in woods and hills, many flowers,
While away their time with dancing.
Today, the mind wants not to go indoors.
Oh, who is this magician that's appeared?

I have tied my hair bun with woodapple
and swing earrings of fresh kalkey blooms.
With him alone i'll go home today.
Without him i'll not return.
