Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámi tomáy bhálabesechi
Nijer ceyeo bhálabási
Áṋdhár ráter pather sáthii
Kliśt́a diner madhu hási

Shok samudre sántvaná mor
Ashrusikta priitiphulad́or
Sháshvata kál rekhecha vibhor
Práńer chande ácha mishi

Púrńimá sáthe jyotsná nishiithe
Milemishe ácha snigdha shucite
Mor bhávanár ańute ańute
Tava karuńáy ácha pashi

O lord,
I love you,
more than i love myself.

O my eternal companion of dark nights,
O my sweet smile of difficult days,
O consolation of the ocean of my grief,
O floral garland of love, drenched with my tears,
You kept me absorbed in you from time immemorial,
You kept me blended with the rhythm of life.

In illuminated full moon nights,
You remain dissolved in gentle purity.
Your grace ever pervades
each atom of my sentiments.
