Balechile more gan shonabe is the 1126th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Balechile more gán shońábe
Sei ásháy kál guńi (ámi)
Madhur hásite kathá diyechile
Phire ásbai ekśuńi

Parikramá kata dharár hayeche
Kata je sharat vasanta geche
Tumi ásile ná gán shońále ná
Tava bhávanár jál buni (ámi)

Shishutaru mahiiruha je hayeche
Giri kśaye valmiik haye geche
Káler gańaná pránte eseche
Tabu bhávi áse padadhvani (ámi)

O lord,
You told me
You would sing a song for me.
I wait and count time ever since.

With a sweet smile,
You gave me assurance
that you would soon return.

How many times
has since the earth rotated?
And how many winters and springs
have since gone by?

You did not come
nor did you sing your song.
And i keep weaving a web of consolation.

The small plant became a big tree,
mountains decayed into anthills,
the counting of time is coming to an end,
yet, i still imagine the sound your footsteps approaching.
