Cáṋder álote háse kumuder sab dal
Maner mukure bháse hiyá-bhejá áṋkhijal

Shikháye diyecho tumi bhálabásá bhásvar

Malay vátáse bháse káche theke dúre dúr
Sabáre suvás d́hále báche ná sukhii-átur

মনের মুকুরে ভাসে হিয়া-ভেজা আঁখিজল

বন্ধু তোমার লাগি সাজায়ে রেখেছি ঘর
শিখায়ে দিয়েছো তুমি ভালবাসা ভাস্বর

মলয় বাতাসে ভাসে কাছে থেকে দূরে দূর
সবারে সুবাস ঢালে বাছে না সুখী-আতুর

বন্ধু তোমার লাগি সাজায়ে রেখেছি ঘর
বুঝায়ে দিয়েছো তুমি সত্যই সুন্দর

My friend,
I keep the house decorated for you.
You, who make me oblivious
of who is near and who is far.

Lilies smile
in the radiance of the moon.
Tears which drenched my heart
float in the mirror of my mind.

You have taught me of evereffulgent love.
The gentle southern breeze floats off
to a far destination.

While wafting its fragrance
it distinguishes not
between the elated
and those who mourn.
