Rúpe dhará diyácho hásite jhare paŕecho
Ánmane chinu moha ghore

Mana májhe uṋki diye
Balecho more bujhiye
Tumi ácho sáthe sáthe priitira pasará niye

বারে বারে আসিয়াছি তোমারে খুঁজিয়াছি
তুমি প্রভু রয়ে গেছ দূরে
ছোট ছোট যত কাজ যত ঘৃণা ভয় লাজ

তাই কি দেখিনি তোমারে

আলোকে আসিয়াছ অলকে চলিয়া গেছ
রূপে ধরা দিয়াছ হাসিতে ঝরে' পড়েছ
আনমনে ছিনু মোহ ঘোরে

মন মাঝে উঁকি দিয়ে
বলেছ মোরে বুঝিয়ে
তুমি আছ সাথে সাথে প্রীতির পসরা নিয়ে
দেখিনি শুনিনি ক্ষণতরে

O lord, i came again and again and searched you,
but you remained away. All petty works,
hatred, fear and shyness
you kept surrounding my eyes,
such that i did not look at you.
You came shining and went to unseen world.
you came into fold through form
scattering your smile.
i was in deep infatuation unmindfully.
peeping into my mind, you told me to understand you.
you are there all along with the articles of love,
but i did not see or hear you even for a moment.
