O lord,
To ideation you have given words,
You gave words to feelings,
And to the words you've given tune.
and melody to language.
[[:wikipedia:Surdas|Surdas]], like the sun are you;
You're slaying the demon of darkness.

This servant of the lord
Humankind had lagged behind,
says that you bravely
And lost had got the light.
annihilated the demon of darkness.
For the humans you accompanied, rays You did provide
Through your songs completely filling mind.

You taught human beings,
Now seated at foot of your altar
provided light to them
In these gloom-ringed circumstances,
and moved forward with all.
I offer my salutation, having expressed expectation;

With it is love's germination.
In your song,
my mind turns plentiful.

Today,
sitting at the base of your altar,
in an environment surrounded by shade,
I express my revered salutation to you.

For, in it lies the seedling of love.

Bhavke diyecha tumi bhasa is the 1255th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhávke diyecha tumi bháśá
Bháśáke diyecha tumi sur
Suradás sura sama tumi
Náshiyácha tamasásur

Mánuś giyechila pichiye
Álok giyechila háriye
Mánuśe dile egiye álok dile ániye
Tava gáne man bharapur

Áj tava vediimúle base
Cháyá gherá ei pariveshe
Jánái ámár prańati d́hele diye ákúti
Tár sáthe priitir auṋkur

To ideation you have given words,
And to the words you've given tune.
Surdas, like the sun are you;
You're slaying the demon of darkness.

Humankind had lagged behind,
And lost had got the light.
For the humans you accompanied, rays You did provide
Through your songs completely filling mind.

Now seated at foot of your altar
In these gloom-ringed circumstances,
I offer my salutation, having expressed expectation;
With it is love's germination.
