Bháśáke diyecha tumi sur
Suradás sura sama tumi
Náshiyácha tamasásur

Mánuś giyechila pichiye
Álok giyechila háriye
Mánuśe dile egiye álok dile ániye
Tava gáne man bharapur

Áj tava vediimúle base
Cháyá gherá ei pariveshe
Jánái ámár prańati d́hele diye ákúti
Tár sáthe priitir auṋkur

ভাবকে দিয়েছ তুমি ভাষা
ভাষাকে দিয়েছ তুমি সুর
সুরদাস সুর সম তুমি
নাশিয়াছ তমসাসুর

মানুষ গিয়েছিল পিছিয়ে
আলোক গিয়েছিল হারিয়ে
মানুষে দিলে এগিয়ে আলোক দিলে আনিয়ে
তব গানে মন ভরপুর

আজ তব বেদীমূলে বসে’
ছায়া-ঘেরা এই পরিবেশে
জানাই আমার প্রণতি ঢেলে’ দিয়ে আকূতি
তার সাথে প্রীতির অঙ্কুর

O lord,
You gave words to feelings,
and melody to language.

This servant of the lord
says that you bravely
annihilated the demon of darkness.

You taught human beings,
provided light to them
and moved forward with all.

In your song,
my mind turns plentiful.

Today,
sitting at the base of your altar,
in an environment surrounded by shade,
I express my revered salutation to you.
