Bhávjagater sakal káje
Tomáy dúre sariye man
Eklá tháke ná

Kabe je kon sharat sáṋjhe
Esechile shiuli sáje
Balle ámáy ámi tomár
Ámáy bhulo ná

ভুলিতে চাই তোমায় আমি
তা’ তো পারি না
মৃদু হেসে’ মনে ভেসে’
দাও যে দ্যোতনা

থাক আমার মনের মাঝে
ভাবজগতের সকল কাজে
তোমায় দূরে সরিয়ে মন
একলা থাকে না

কবে যে কোন্‌ শরৎ সাঁঝে
এসেছিলে শিউলি-সাজে
বললে আমায় আমি তোমার
আমায় ভুলো না

To forget about You should I wish,
By no means am I able!
Gently smiling, on mind risen,
The import You give.

You dwell at core of my psyche;
In the thought-realm's every deed.
A mind far removed from You,
Lone it does not remain.

When was it, on which autumn evening,
That You'd come dressed in jasmine?
