Bhuliyá gecho ki sediner kathá
Vyathápluta se káhini
Jalbhará sei ánanakháni
Se dut́i áṋkhira se cáhani

(Takhan) Saghane gagana garajitechilo
Jharite chilo karakádhárá
Patha prántar janahiin chilo
Bhásite chilo keyá vidhurá
Sei paribeshe caliyá giyácho
Tár pare phire áso ni

Tárpar kata jug cale geche
Patha ashrute bhijiyá giyáche
Kata phulamálá shukáiyá geche
Karuńáketane cáo ni

ভুলিয়া গেছ কি সেদিনের কথা
ব্যথাপ্লুত সে কাহিনী
জলভরা সেই আননখানি
সে দুটি আঁখির সে চাহনি

(তখন) সঘনে গগন গরজিতেছিল
ঝরিতে ছিল করকাধারা
পথ-প্রান্তির জনহীন ছিল
হাসিতেছিল কেয়া বিধুরা
সেই পরিবেশে চলিয়া গিয়াছ
তার পরে ফিরে' আস নি

তারপর কত যুগ চলে' গেছে
পথ অশ্রুতে ভিজিয়া গিয়াছে
কত ফুলমালা শুকাইয়া গেছে
করুণাকেতনে চাও নি

O lord,
have you forgotten the event of that day,
that story flooded with pain?

My face was full of water
and demand was in my eyes.

The clouds were
thundering in the sky,
there was nobody in the arena of your path.

Everything appeared bewildered.
And you did not return thereafter.

How many ages have since passed?
The path became wet with tears.

Many floral garlands dried up,
and yet, you did not show any mercy.
