Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei álokojjval aruńa ákáshe
Ánandaghana avakáshe
Álokojjval
Áshár álekhya aiṋjane áṋki
Áṋkhite enecho animeśe

Drutalaye kabhu vilambite
Amiya mádhurii ajhore jharáte
Rahiyácho tumi cira anidra
Maner madhur madhumáse

Himagiri hate vanya námiyá
Dyulok bhúlok dilo je pláviyá
Sphat́ika kirańe man mátáiyá
Tomáte mililo avasheśe

With the crimson sky resplendent,
At a blissful, relaxed moment,
Brilliantly refulgent,
In kohl we paint hope's portrait
On eyes to which You've brought vigilance.

At any time, with tempo slow or brisk,
Constantly to cast ambrosial sweetness,
You've remained forever without sleep,
In a pleasant springtide of the psyche.

From snow-capped mountains, a flood descending,
O'er heaven and earth it did stream.
Dazzling the mind with crystal beams,
Finally, it made us one with Thee.
