O Lord,
You appeared, Lord, You appeared,
after listening to my invocation
Hearing my keen invitation.
You finally came.
You're the [[:wikipedia:Kalpavriksha|tree of life]], I'm a dry wasteland;
You are the heavenly, all-granting tree.
Yet in my heart You took Your seat.

Although i am but a dry desert,
Before You do I submit;
You took your place in my heart.
To You my all I commit.
In front of you
What I deemed mine for a long time,
I surrender myself.
I have given it to Thee.

I offer you whatever is mine.
On the far blue sky, Your lovely form laughs;
Whatever, for so long,
On the gentle breeze, a cheery fragrance wafts.
I had considered my own
Between us, the distance that exists,
is now offered to you.
Today, let it be finished.
What I've given, it is nothing;
What I've gained is everlasting...
Any measure it exceeds.

In the far blue sky
In Your innate wisdom accept my sincerity;
Your beauty is expressed,
My deep-seated pain, please fill with melody.
and mingles with the fragrant sandal breeze.
With Your elegant tunes, Your meter and lyrics,

Invigorate the whole universe.
Whatever distance may exist
between you and me,
let there be an end to it today.

Whatever i have given you is nothing.
Whatever i have received from you
is inexhaustible and immeasurable.

By virtue of your own quality,
You understand my internal feelings
and fill them with melody.

By your rhythm and song,
by your incomparable melody,
You energise the entire world.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ele tumi ele ele prabhu
Shuńiyá ámár áhván
Tumi kalpataru ámi shuśka maru
Tumi mor hrdaye nile sthán

Átmasamarpań kari go tomár káche
Tomáre saṋpiyá dii já kichu ámár áche
Ámár baliyá mane jáhá chilo etadine
Tomáre karinu pradán

Sudúr niilákáshe auṋgalávańi háse
Malay vatáse susmita surabhi bháse
Tomár ámár májhe dúratva já áche
Áji hok tár avasán
Diyechi já kichu nay
Peyechi já akśay
Náhi je táhár parimáń

Ámár maner kathá nija guńe bujhe náo
Ámár marma vyathá surete bhariyá dáo
Tomár chande gáne aparúpa tava táne
Bhuvane bhariyá dáo práń

You appeared, Lord, You appeared,
Hearing my keen invitation.
You're the tree of life, I'm a dry wasteland;
Yet in my heart You took Your seat.

Before You do I submit;
To You my all I commit.
What I deemed mine for a long time,
I have given it to Thee.

On the far blue sky, Your lovely form laughs;
On the gentle breeze, a cheery fragrance wafts.
Between us, the distance that exists,
Today, let it be finished.
What I've given, it is nothing;
What I've gained is everlasting...
Any measure it exceeds.

In Your innate wisdom accept my sincerity;
My deep-seated pain, please fill with melody.
With Your elegant tunes, Your meter and lyrics,
Invigorate the whole universe.
