He continued moving singing the song.
Singing songs He'd departed;
in the intoxicating dream, with charming face,
In a heady dream with charming visage,
he has won over the mind.
Had He taken the mind captive?
for him, how many ages i have kept awake.

i have forgotten the time, date and years.
For His sake how many ages am I keen;
but i am unable to forget
I've forgot so many moments, days, and years.
that he gave me melody and tune in my throat.
Just that piece in throat did not escape my memory
even today i hear his footsteps,
Mixed with tune in music mode, what did He give?
which resonate sweetly in the depth of mind

with nectar sound and makes me forget
In ear the sound of His footsteps I still hear;
innumerable thunders.
To forget ten thousand thunderbolts could not be.
In the depths of psyche, with a sweet resonance,
Echoing is it with emission of ambrosia.

Gan geye cale giyechilo se is the 2516th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gán geye cale giyechilo se
Madir svapane mohan ánane
Man jine niyechilo ki se

Tár tare kata jug jege áchi
Kata pal tithi varaś bhulechi
Bhulite párini[nb 2] se kant́hakháni
Dilo ke sure ráge mishe

Ájo káne shuni tár padadhvani
Bholáte páreni ajuta ashani
Manera gahane madhura svanane
Rańita hay se sudhárase

Singing songs He'd departed;
In a heady dream with charming visage,
Had He taken the mind captive?

For His sake how many ages am I keen;
I've forgot so many moments, days, and years.
Just that piece in throat did not escape my memory
Mixed with tune in music mode, what did He give?

In ear the sound of His footsteps I still hear;
To forget ten thousand thunderbolts could not be.
In the depths of psyche, with a sweet resonance,
Echoing is it with emission of ambrosia.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the audio rendition we hear pári ná, but the published Bengali source consistently gives párini. It is a difference in tense (cannot versus could not).
