Gáne gáne ámi khuṋjechi tomáre
Tiirthe ságare vane vane
Saritá beláy giri mekhaláy
Ulká taŕit spandane

Jáhá dekhiyáchi jáhái shunechi
Táhári májháre tomáre khuṋjechi
Jáhá bhávi nái patho pái nái
Shudhu sethá jáini sandháne

Áge jániniko eta káche chile
Maner końe gopane basechile
Táte apacay hato ná samay
Petum tomáy dhyánásane

গানে গানে আমি খুঁজেছি তোমারে
তীর্থে সাগরে বনে বনে
সরিতা বেলায় গিরি মেখলায়
উল্কা তড়িৎ স্পন্দনে

যাহা দেখিয়াছি যাহাই শুনেছি
তাহারই মাঝারে তোমারে খুঁজেছি
যাহা ভাবি নাই পথও পাই নাই
শুধু সেথা যাইনি সন্ধানে

আগে জানিনিকো এত কাছে ছিলে
মনের কোণে গোপনে বসেছিলে
তাতে অপচয় হ'ত না সময়
পেতুম তোমায় ধ্যানাসনে

With song after song I've searched for Thee,
At many a forest, at pilgrim sites and sea,
On river banks and mountain slopes,
In quakes from meteor and lightning.

What I've viewed, whatever I've listened to,
Amid just that I've searched for You.
Where I believe there's not, I find no way also;
But at just that place I did not go to seek.

Earlier I did not know that You had been so near;
You had perched inside a mental niche secretly.
There would have been no time wastage even so,
Had I detected You at the meditation seat.
