Sadhvani jhat́iká ághát heneche

Sapuśpa shákhá bháuṋgiyá paŕeche
Sakátar krandane

Jale jhaŕe kata phul háráyeche
Gandhamadir parág bheseche

ঘূর্ণিবাত্যা রাতে এসেছিল
স্মিত শেফালীর বনে
তারই সাথে মোর মনে
অর্গল দেওয়া ঘরেতে তখন
বসেছিনু আনমনে

সধ্বনি ঝটিকা আঘাত হেনেছে
আহত চিত্ত শিহরি' উঠেছে
সপুষ্প শাখা ভাঙ্গিয়া পড়েছে
