Táder kena cokhe jal
Badhir naha sabái jáne
Tabe kena liilár chal

Liilár hási liilár báṋshii
Liiláy káṋdte sabái ási
Bholáte dáo sukheri jhilik
Phot́áo álor shatadal

Jáni sabái tomár mane
Sukhe duhkhe saḿgopane
Háso káṋdo nirajane
Sabár lági aviral

যারা চেয়েছে তোমায় কাছে
তাদের কেন চোখে জল
বধির নহ সবাই জানে
তবে কেন লীলার ছল

লীলার হাসি লীলার বাঁশী
লীলায় কাঁদতে সবাই আসি
ভোলাতে দাও সুখেরই ঝিলিক
ফোটাও আলোর শতদল

জানি সবাই তোমার মনে
সুখে দুঃখে সংগোপনে
হাসো কাঁদো নিরজনে
সবার লাগি অবিরল

O lord,
why are the eyes of those
who desire you close
so full of tears?

You know all,
You are not deaf.
Why do you then play
such deceptive games?

Laughter, weeping,
the sound of your flute,
all mingle in your captivating play.

Removing our pain and giving a glimpse of bliss,
You make the hundred-petaled lotus bloom,

I know that
the pain and pleasure of all,
lie hidden
within your psychic arena.


In solitude, you never cease to
smile and weep for one and all.
