Tomár lágiyá racechi gán
Shona mor kathá bojha mor vyathá
Ákulatá karo avasán

Ekt́i kathái kahibár áche
Bhálabási kena náhi ása káche
Ei dúratva nirdayatva
Áji hok er avasán

Ekt́i vyathái bojhávár áche
Prańati karite náhi pái káche
Ámár balite jáhá kichu áche
Cái o carańe karite dán

জ্যোৎস্না নিশীথে নীরবে নিভৃতে
তোমার লাগিয়া রচেছি গান
শোণ মোর কথা বোঝ মোর ব্যথা
আকুলতা করো অবসান

একটি কথাই কহিবার আছে
ভালবাসি’ কেন নাহি আস কাছে
এই দূরত্ব নির্দয়ত্ব
আজি হোক এর অবসান

একটি ব্যথাই বোঝাবার আছে
প্রণতি করিতে নাহি পাই কাছে
আমার বলিতে যাহা কিছু আছে
চাই ও চরণে করিতে দান

O lord,
on this moonlit night,
in calm seclusion,
I create my song for you.

Listen to my story,
understand my pain,
and end my restlessness.

I wish to tell you only one thing:
Why, if you love me,
do not you come near?

This distance and unkindness may today end.
Only one agony is to be understood:
Even after praying,
I do not find you close.

Whatever i may speak,
all that, i offer unto your holy feet.
