On the dark eyes,
Black [[:wikipedia:Kohl (cosmetics)|kohl]] on eyes,
whose image came floating?
Whose portrait floated in?
in that image all the effulgence
Any rays of light from the horizon,
of the horizon, is merged.
In that portrait only they got mixed.
that image was full of smile,

hence i love that.
Filling that portrait is a smile;
i think of him day and night.
And so that portrait I do like...
he has snatched away my mind.
On it alone I muse day and night;
it is his nature to remain hidden.
My psyche it did rivet.
it is hard to assess or

measure him with intellect.
Remaining hid is His disposition;
by love he becomes own.
To get His depth by intellect is burdensome.
he is tranquil in the form
But He becomes one's own through love;
of the universe.
Taking all forms, that is fixed.

Kajal kalo ankhir pare is the 2351st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kájal kálo áṋkhir pare
Káhár chavi bhese elo
Digvalayer jata álo
Sei chavitei mishe gelo

Se chavite bhará hási
Táito táke bhálabási
Tákei bhávi aharnishi
Man se ámár keŕe nilo

Lukiye tháká svabháv táhár
Buddhite tár thai páoyá bhár
Bhálabásáy hay ápanár
Vishvarúp se acaiṋcala

Black kohl on eyes,
Whose portrait floated in?
Any rays of light from the horizon,
In that portrait only they got mixed.

Filling that portrait is a smile;
And so that portrait I do like...
On it alone I muse day and night;
My psyche it did rivet.

Remaining hid is His disposition;
To get His depth by intellect is burdensome.
But He becomes one's own through love;
Taking all forms, that is fixed.
