Kena sajal cokhe ceye ácho
Áṋkhi muche phelo ánkhi muche phelo
Kena akále bádal jhariye calecho
Mor kathá rákho balo kii hayechilo

Snigdha suniil ákásheri pare
Balákárá jáy uŕe dúre sudúre
Tárá káṋde náko bhaye káṋpe náko
E mor balákáy vyathá ke bhare dilo

Jhaŕ jhaiṋjhá kata jiivane áse
Kata shántir niiŕ jáy je bhese
Tumi drŕha áshe bhar diye ákáshe
Sháshvata niiŕ páne sáhase calo

কেন সজল চোখে চেয়ে আছ
আঁখি মুছে’ ফেলো আঁখি মুছে’ ফেলো
কেন অকালে বাদল ঝরিয়ে চলেছ
মোর কথা রাখো বলো কী হয়েছিল

স্নিগ্ধ সুনীল আকাশেরই ‘পরে
বলাকারা যায় উড়ে’ দূরে সুদূরে
তারা কাঁদে নাকো ভয়ে কাঁপে নাকো
এ মোর বলাকায় ব্যথা কে ভরে’ দিল

ঝড়-ঝঞ্ঝা কত জীবনে আসে
কত শান্তির নীড় যায় যে ভেসে’
তুমি দৃঢ় আশে ভর দিয়ে আকাশে
শাশ্বত নীড় পানে সাহসে চলো

Why do you gaze on with tear-filled eyes?
Wipe out your tears.

Why precipitate the clouds untimely?
Follow my words
and tell me what happened.

In the soft blue sky
swans fly far off.
They do not cry,
they do not shiver with fear.

But then, by whom
has this swan of mine,
been given pain?

In life, innumerable storms appear.
Numerous peacefully resting nests fall off.

Fill the sky with hope,
and move on with courage -
towards that eternal nest.
