Rúpaloke niice[nb 2] neve ele
Patre puśpe mukule shyámale
Madhurimá dile d́hele

Tomár rúper ei je álok
Dharite páre ná bhúlok dyulok
Ucchaliyá hiyá upaciyá
E kii anubhúti ánile

Je jeneche tava námer mahimá
Se bujheche tava priitir garimá
Asti bháti ánandamer
Surabhi táháke dile

কোন্‌ অরূপ লোকেতে ছিলে
রূপলোকে নীচে নেবে’ এলে
পত্রে পুষ্পে মুকুলে শ্যামলে
মধুরিমা দিলে ঢেলে’

তোমার রূপের এই যে আলোক
ধরিতে পারে না ভূলোক দ্যুলোক
উছলিয়া হিয়া উপচিয়া
এ কী অনুভূতি আনিলে

যে জেনেছে তব নামের মহিমা
সে বুঝেছে তব প্রীতির গরিমা
অস্তি-ভাতি-আনন্দমের
সুরভি তাহাকে দিলে

O lord,
in which formless world,
did you remain,
before descending into the world of forms?

Thus coming,
over leaves, flowers and buds, and greenness,
You poured out sweetness.

The physical and divine worlds
are unable to hold
this effulgence of your beauty.

In my overflowing and restless heart,
what an experience have you brought about?

Those who know the greatness of your name,
understand the glory of your love.
To them,
You provide the fragrance of asti, bha'ti and ánanda.
