Tumi esechile keu jáne ná
Manke mátále práńke bharále
Bodhi d́hele dile sabár ajáná

Tárpar kata kál ket́e geche
Kata jaladhárá ságare misheche
Kata phul hese khase geche
Mishe kálgahvare nái gańaná

Sei kśań theke ámi base áchi
Pal anupal guńiyá calechi
Klántir gháye ghume d́hale gechi
Ámár vedaná keu bojhe ná

তুমি এসেছিলে কেউ জানে না
মনকে মাতালে প্রাণকে ভরালে
বোধি ঢেলে’ দিলে সবার অজানা

তারপর কত কাল কেটে গেছে
কত জলধারা সাগরে মিশেছে
কত ফুল হেসে’ খসে’ গেছে
মিশে’ কালগহ্বরে নাই গণনা

সেই ক্ষণ থেকে আমি বসে’ আছি
পল-অনুপল গুণিয়া চলেছি
ক্লান্তির ঘায়ে ঘুমে ঢলে’ গেছি
আমার বেদনা কেউ বোঝে না

O lord,
during which golden period,
holding on to the flow of melody you had come,
no one knows.

Intoxicating the mind,
fulfilling the heart;
You poured intuition, unknown to all.
After that, how much time has passed?

How many streams got merged into the ocean,
after which, how many flowers bloomed
and withered away into the depth of time?
There is no count of that.

Since then, i am sitting waiting for you.
Counting moments and seconds,
with the wounds of fatigue laid into sleep,
but no one could understand my agonies.
