O king of my mind,
Oh Mind-Ruler, why have You kept remote?
why do you stay afar?
At core of my psyche, please do come close.

You are a diamond, and its radiance also;
Come close, stay within my mind.
Though in shapeless attire, set Your light afire.

You are the diamond
and you are the diamond's glow.
With your formless implement
You kindle light.

With conch and bell sounds
and with ghee lamps,
I tried to please you,
but i did not find composure in my mind.

Today, come,
and with your own hands,
in your own way,
teach me how your a'ratii is to be conducted.

I have been thinking so much of you ages after ages,
Through bell and conch shell and lamp of ghee,
I tried to worship you
Having set out to appease, I found naught in psyche.
through hundreds of customary rituals.
Now please come Yourself and by Your own means,
Teach me by which deeds occurs [[:wikipedia:Arti (Hinduism)|árati]].

Today, i am tired of it all,
For how many ages upon You have I thought?
and accepting defeat,
Via countless formal rites have I sought.
I ask you for mercy,
Now defeat I am conceding; mercy I implore
that your trumpet may ever sound in my heart.
That Your bugle may resound inside the heart.

Maner raja kena dure rayecho is the 1948th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Maner rájá kena dúre rayecho
Eso káche mor manomájhe (tumi)
Hiirak tumi diiptio tumi
Jyoti jváláo tava arúpa sáje

Shauṋkha ghant́á ár ghrta diipete
Tuśite giye kichu pái ni cite
Áj eso nija hate nija riitite
Shekháo árati hay kon se káje

Bhevechi juge juge kata ná tomáy
Ceyechi kata shata vaedhii pratháy
Áj hár mániyáchi jáci karuńáy
Tava dundubhi jena hrdaye báje

Oh Mind-Ruler, why have You kept remote?
At core of my psyche, please do come close.
You are a diamond, and its radiance also;
Though in shapeless attire, set Your light afire.

Through bell and conch shell and lamp of ghee,
Having set out to appease, I found naught in psyche.
Now please come Yourself and by Your own means,
Teach me by which deeds occurs árati.

For how many ages upon You have I thought?
Via countless formal rites have I sought.
Now defeat I am conceding; mercy I implore
That Your bugle may resound inside the heart.
