Just the two of us will hear.
Just the two of us will hear.

Only heart can catch heart's words;
Only the heart can catch heart's words;
They don't get heard outside.
They don't get heard outside.
You are present, and likewise I–
You are present, and likewise I–
There is no one else on this earth.
There's none else on this earth.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Maner vyathá mani jáne
Cápá áche gopane
Geye jadi shońáte cái
Shońábo tá vijane

Sabhá májhe já kichu gái
Maner kathá táháte nái
Ekánte tá jáy go gáoyá
Shuńibo tá dújane

Hiyár bháśá pashe hiyáy
Báhire tá shońá ná jáy
Tumi ácho ámi áchi
Ár keha nái bhuvane

Mind's pain only the mind knows;
Confidential, it is concealed.
Should I ever want to sing it,
Then I would open up alone.

In public, anything I sing,
It is not my secret thought.
In private, what gets sung,
Just the two of us will hear.

Only the heart can catch heart's words;
They don't get heard outside.
You are present, and likewise I–
There's none else on this earth.
