O lord,
Dwell in my eyes, Lord; stay there unremittingly.
stay forever in my eyes,
Just Your thoughts I consider so that always
so that,
With Your name I be consumed, oh Paragon of Virtue.
I may remain ever engrossed
in your ideation,
in your name
and in your qualities.

Several lives passed by wastefully,
Unavailing, my birth has elapsed times numerous
alas,
In frame of so many animals and, alas, creepers and shrubs.
in lives of animals,
But today, by Your grace, a human body I've attained;
plants and trees.
This time, please satisfy what my heart craves.

By your grace,
With delusion abundant I'd been stricken;
I today attained a human body.
I had drifted far, far off in dogmatism.
This time,
Now I've understood what's real, not a doubt lingers...
fulfill my desire.
My everything I've dedicated.

Many a time i lost my direction
and floated adrift in dogma.

Now, i understand what is essential.
There remains no confusion.
I offer my all unto you.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nayane tháko prabhu tháko abirám
Tomár bhávanái bhávi jena sadái
Tava náme máti guńadhám

Anek janam ket́e geche brtháy
Kata jiivdehe kata latágulmete háy
Peyechi mánuśdeha áj tava krpáy
Ebár púráo manaskám

Vibhránta hayechilum je pracur
Bhávajaŕatáy bhese giyechinu bahu dúr
Ekhan bujhechi sár kona dvidhá náhi ár
Sab kichu samarpilám

Dwell in my eyes, Lord; stay there unremittingly.
Just Your thoughts I consider so that always
With Your name I be consumed, oh Paragon of Virtue.

Unavailing, my birth has elapsed times numerous
In frame of so many animals and, alas, creepers and shrubs.
But today, by Your grace, a human body I've attained;
This time, please satisfy what my heart craves.

With delusion abundant I'd been stricken;
I had drifted far, far off in dogmatism.
Now I've understood what's real, not a doubt lingers...
My everything I've dedicated.
