Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Pasará bhariyá práńer parash
Spandita nava rúpe ráge
Tumi enechile bhará anuráge
Snigdha sajala sumada samiire
Surer saritá saorabhe
Tumi enechile bhará anuráge

Maner mayúr nece chut́e geche
Se parashe práń bhariyá tulite
Karuńákomal meghakajjala
Tithir atithike bholáte
Tumi hesechile adhareri ráge

Madhumáse mete madhura máyáy
Man bhese jáy dúr niilimáy
Udagra tava úśasii ábháy
Ucát́ana man kichu ná cáy
Tumi besechile bhálo kii soháge

O lord,
You brought about plentiful affection,
and by your overwhelming touch,
vibrated all with new beauty and love.

You also brought in
a soft, moist and pleasing breeze,
and a fragrant stream of melody.

By your touch,
my mental peacock started dancing.

Who would ever forget that merciful guest
who came on that day
when soft dark clouds swayed through the sky?
You smiled, and on your lips lay music.

Intoxicated by the sweet illusion of spring
my mind floats off into the distant blue sky.
Influenced by your strong morning light,
it does not desire anything.

What is this affection that you have loved me with?
