Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sabár bhálabásá peyecho (tumi)
Sabáre samán bháve dekhecho
Sabár hiter kathá bhevecho (tumi)

Nidágher tápakliśt́a bhúmite (tumi)
Varaśár váridhárá d́helecho
Tritápajiirńa diina hiyáte
Mamatár madhu mákhiyecho
Varśańsnáta krśńá tithite (tumi)
Khadyot dyuti ene diyecho

Tumi bhálabása básite jáno
Jiiver marjádá tumii máno
Tava ásá patha ceye jiiv rayeche
Ártta janere sharańe niyecho

O lord,
You provide
and receive love from all.

Looking at all with equality,
You constantly think of everyone's welfare.

In the intense heat of the sun,
in painful periods,
You pour out a flow of rain.

On torn out and distressed hearts,
You smear the honey of affection.

On wet and rainy dark nights,
You bring about the light of fireflies.

You know what respect living beings deserve.
You know the limitations
of those who survive with hope,
ever looking onto your arrival path.
For, you have taken into your shelter so many lives.
