Tumi ese dáṋŕále páshe
Samiira svanane mor káne káne
Kahile kata kii mrdu bháśe

Ketakii parág bhese calechilo
Niipakuiṋja surabhi bhará chilo
Veńukár vane kekádhvani sane
Shikhii necechilo hese hese

Sthir vidyut sama tumi ele
Madhur hásite mukutá jharále
Ghumanta kali jágilo ákuli
Áṋkhi meli darashana áshe

সজল পবনে ছিনু আনমনে
তুমি এসে দাঁড়ালে পাশে
সমীর স্বননে মোর কানে কানে
কহিলে কত কী মৃদু ভাষে

কেতকী পরাগ ভেসে চলেছিল
নীপকুঞ্জ সুরভি ভরা ছিল
বেণুকার বনে কেকাধ্বনি সনে
শিখী নেচেছিল হেসে হেসে

স্থির বিদ্যুৎ সম তুমি এলে
মধুর হাসিতে মুকুতা ঝরালে
ঘুমন্ত কলি জাগিল আকুলি
আঁখি মেলি' দরশন আশে

Under a humid breeze, I had been inattentive;
Having come alongside, You awaited.
Ringing in both my ears was the wind,
So much tender language; what did You whisper?

Floating had arrived the screwpine pollen;
Burflower bower was full of sweet scent.
In the bamboo-flute's arbor, to sound of a peacock-holler,
Ever smiling had danced the peafowl bird.

Like static-electric, appear You did;
Pearls You dropped with a sweet grin.
Eagerly a sleeping bud awakened,
Eyes opening in hope of Your vision.
