Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Shárada nishiithe (tomáte ámáte)
Dekhá hayechilo manovane
Shephálii gandhe kásheri chande
Esechile rúpáyatane

Mor mane kálo megh chilo jata
Cakite táhárá halo apagata
Rajater rúpe kśitija samiipe
Bhese gelo kothá ke tá jáne

Tumi ár ámi eki mane áchi
Bhúmá ár ańu haye káchákáchi
Mohanánande madhu niśyande
Áj dekhi tá sukha svapane

On late night of autumn, between us
There had been a meeting in mind's garden.
With a scent of night jasmine, to the sugarcane rhythm,
In a discrete shape You had come.

In my mind what dark clouds had been,
In an instant they were ousted.
Before earth-grown silver's form,
Who knows it, where they floated off!

You and I are with one and the same mind:
God Supreme and molecule becoming nearby.
With enchanting bliss, nectar's exudation,
In a happy dream today that is my vision.
