Soná jhará e úśáy (áji)
Madhur kant́he vihagerá gán gáy
Tumi kotháy áji

Támasii jáminii kotháy háriye geche
Krśńa kúheliká vilupta haye geche
Kálo javaniká sare jáy áji

Kadambareńu ambara páne dheye cale
Unmada shikhii náce d́ambaru tále tále
Hatáshár lesh náhi háy áji

সোণা-ঝরা এ ঊষায় (আজি)
মধুর কন্ঠে বিহগেরা গান গায়
তুমি কোথায় আজি

তামসী যামিনী কোথায় হারিয়ে গেছে
কৃষ্ণ কুহেলিকা বিলুপ্ত হয়ে গেছে
কালো যবনিকা সরে’ যায় আজি

কদম্বরেণু অম্বর পানে ধেয়ে চলে
উন্মদ শিখী নাচে ডম্বরু তালে তালে
হতাশার লেশ নাহি হায় আজি

Today,
on this golden and effulgent morning,
the birds sing with a sweet voice,
and ask about your whereabouts.

The dark night of inertia disappeared.
The dark fog vanished.
The dark curtain was removed.

The kadamba pollen spreads out into the sky.
The frenzied peacock dances
to the rhythm of dambaru.
There is no trace of disappointment whatsoever left.
