Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sumukhe ásiyá dánŕáo prabhu tumi
Nayana bhariyá dekhibo tomáy
Manera kánane surabhi rańane
Rauṋ berauṋer phulera shobháy

(Mahákásher mata) Manke dáo bhare
Niiháriká candane shuci kare
Eso dhiire dhiire snigdha samiire
Runujhunu jhunu núpura páy

(Madhula madhumákhá) Manera madhumás
Náce gáne táte áno go ullás
Tomár hásit́i mohana báṋshiit́i
Prápti sukhe jena more mátáy

Lord, come and stand before me;
Filling my eyes, let me look at Thee.
In my mental garden, with a fragrant jingle,
Flowers of many colors twinkle.

Fill that great sky of my mind!
Purifying the galaxies with sandalwood paste,
come slowly with a gentle breeze
and a soft jingle bell sound.

In this autumn of sweetness,
bring enthusiasm and festivity,
bring dance and songs.

Let me become intoxicated
by the happy attainment of your smile
and the sound of your flute.
