On this fragrance full evening,
On this evening, fragrance filled,
what the bamboo grave is saying?
What says Flute-Maker's forest?
the greenness goes on dissolving
The verdure sails off on dark magic,
into dark illusion
With a semblance sweetness-coated.
like sweetness absorption.

the clouds play hide and seek
With the moon clouds play a game of hide-and-seek;
with the moon,
Upon the blue of immense sky, new comity's pervading.
filling new sweetness in
The dance by my mental peacock is engaging;
the great blue sky.
Time and date, they get forgotten.
my mental peacock dances

forgetting time and date.
In both light and shade is traced eye-salve;
the light and shade
With pleasant devotion the mind is packed.
makes decoration mark of the eyes
Taking away everything, everything it gives;
filling the mind with charming love.
A sea of pain gets lost to which remote location?
by snatching away all,
and thus providing all,
it gets lost far away.
the ocean of pain is removed away.

Surabhi bhara ei sandhyay is the 2448th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Surabhi bhará ei sandhyáy
Veńukár van kii kathá shonáy
Shyámalimá bhese jáy krśńa máyáy
Madhurimá mákhá upamáy

Cáṋder sauṋge megherá khele lukocuri
Mahákásher niile nútan mádhurii bhari
Maner mayúre mor nrtya rata kari
Kála tithi se bhule jáy

Aiṋjan eṋke dey álo cháyáy
Raiṋjane anuráge manke bharáy
Sab kichu keŕe niye sab kichu dey
Vyathár váridhi kon sudúre háráy

On this evening, fragrance filled,
What says Flute-Maker's forest?
The verdure sails off on dark magic,
With a semblance sweetness-coated.

With the moon clouds play a game of hide-and-seek;
Upon the blue of immense sky, new comity's pervading.
The dance by my mental peacock is engaging;
Time and date, they get forgotten.

In both light and shade is traced eye-salve;
With pleasant devotion the mind is packed.
Taking away everything, everything it gives;
A sea of pain gets lost to which remote location?
