তোমার আসার পথ চেয়ে
দিলুম জীবন কাটিয়ে
ডেকে’ যাবো

বধির শ্রুতিতে তব ধ্বনি জাগিয়ে

কত শরৎ এসেছিলো
বসন্ত হেসেছিলো
ফুলে বীথি ভরেছিলো
তুমি এলে না
আমি আছি দাঁড়িয়ে

ফুলের গন্ধ গেছে ভেসে’
মনের বিধু আর না হাসে
কালসাগরের বালির ‘পরে
আছি তাকিয়ে
আমি আছি তাকিয়ে

O lord,
awaiting you
my life passes by.

I shall continue to call
to awaken sounds in your deaf ears.

Many an autumn came
and many a spring smiled.

The path was full of flowers,
but you did not come.
I remained standing alone.

The fragrance of flowers floated away.
The mental moon no more smiles.

At the sandy beach of the ocean of time,
I continue observing.
