O lord,
Lord, in Your vast Creation,
in your universe,
For everything there is room.
there is shelter for all.
Light is there and also gloom,
Whichever any have adopted.

There is light and shade for all,
Roses are there, and also thorns;
irrespective of where one exists.
Stones have stayed in the cascades.
In unions there are the estranged;
In candle flames is the black core.

Alongside rose flowers, thorns grow.
Beside the lotus, mud is there;
On stream fountains, pebbles emerge.
Upon the moon blotches have lived.
Along with the lotus flower, mud is present.
Planetary polar lights, mum and placid
The rabbit remains ever fearful.
Piles of snow, they've been overshadowing.
And ice boulders always surround
the silent and clean appearance of mountain peaks.

Tomar mahavishve prabhu is the 1324th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár mahávishve prabhu
Sabár tare t́háṋi rayeche
Álo áche áṋdháro áche
Je bá jáhá beche niyeche

Goláp áche káṋt́áo áche
Jharńáte upal rayeche
Milane viraha áche
Diipe koláṋdhár rayeche

Padma páshe pauṋka áche
Shasháuṋke auṋka[nb 2] rayeche
Merujyoti niirav nithar
Tuśárstúpe gherá rayeche

Lord, in Your vast Creation,
For everything there is room.
Light is there and also gloom,
Whichever any have adopted.

Roses are there, and also thorns;
Stones have stayed in the cascades.
In unions there are the estranged;
In candle flames is the black core.

Beside the lotus, mud is there;
Upon the moon blotches have lived.
Planetary polar lights, mum and placid
Piles of snow, they've been overshadowing.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the audio rendition, shauṋká (fear) is sung. However, in the latest published Bangla,[2] auṋka (mark or spot) appears. In context, auṋka seems more likely.
