O lord,
With You in what ancient past
in which past was i introduced to you?
Had occurred acquaintance?
I've forgot the day and date,
The sweet anniversary;
But will that memory ever get erased?

I forgot its date and pleasing memory,
A hundred trumpets play at Your victory procession;
and yet, i wonder, can it ever be forgotten?
From afar I hear the grave and sonorous assemblage.
I want to go near, but I just cannot set out;
Insignificance is a block hard to surmount.

Hundreds of trumpets sound on your victory journey.
I am aware that You are great; I know that I am small.
From a distance, they vibrate in combination.
But sporting with the paltry, indeed it's Your liila...
I want to go but am unable to do so.
Trading hearts with the meager!
This smallness of mine is a great handicap.

I consider you great and myself but a meager.
This is your divine game with a small entity.
Exchanging your heart with mine,
our introduction took place.

Tomar sathe kon atiite is the 1139th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár sáthe kon atiite
Hayechilo paricay
Bhule gechi din tithi
Se madhur sukhasmrti
Kakhano ki tá bholá jáy

Shata dundubhi báje tava jayajátrár
Dúr theke shuńi sei mandrita sambhár
Káche jete cái jete náhi pái
Kśudratá durlauṋghya bádhá hay

Tumi brhat máni ámi kśudra jáni
Kśudrer sáthe khelá ei to tomár liilá
Kśudrer sáthe hiyá vinimay

With You in what ancient past
Had occurred acquaintance?
I've forgot the day and date,
The sweet anniversary;
But will that memory ever get erased?

A hundred trumpets play at Your victory procession;
From afar I hear the grave and sonorous assemblage.
I want to go near, but I just cannot set out;
Insignificance is a block hard to surmount.

I am aware that You are great; I know that I am small.
But sporting with the paltry, indeed it's Your liila...
Trading hearts with the meager!
