O lord, loving you, mentally close to you,
+
Having wanted You, only Your presence,
my days are floating away to some unknown arena.
+
To an unknown place my days are sailing.
it is not possible to hold those golden days
+
Golden are those days but can't be saved
within golden cage of my mind.
+
In golden cage of my psyche.
i love You, hence i beg you.
+

i am surviving with your ideation day and night.
+
Yourself I adore, so You alone I appraise;
By thinking of you, by feeling you,
+
In thought of You I survive night and day.
my mind wants to get peace on finding you.
+
Contemplating You, experience of Yourself,
following the inert objects, many days have passed.
+
My mind longs to gain peace within Thee.
many days of this small life have been lost.
+

There should not be further delay,
+
Behind matter have elapsed ages aplenty,
there is not much time,
+
And many days of this brief life are passing.
illuminate your mercy.
+
Master, no more delay, there's not much time;
 +
Please display Your kind mercy.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre ceye tomári káche
Din mor kon ajánáy bhese jáy
Sonálii se dinguli dhare rákhá náhi jáy
Ámári maner káiṋcana kháiṋcáy

Tomáre bhálabási tái tomárei jáci
Tomár bhávanáy nishidin beṋce áchi
Tomáre bheve tomár anubhave
Man mor shánti tomáte pete cáy

Jaŕer pichane bahu jug cale geche
Kśudra e jiivaner bahu tithi jhariyáche
Ár prabhu derii nay adhik náhi samay
Udbhásita karo tava karuńáy

Having wanted You, only Your presence,
To an unknown place my days are sailing.
Golden are those days but can't be saved
In golden cage of my psyche.

Yourself I adore, so You alone I appraise;
In thought of You I survive night and day.
Contemplating You, experience of Yourself,
My mind longs to gain peace within Thee.

Behind matter have elapsed ages aplenty,
And many days of this brief life are passing.
Master, no more delay, there's not much time;
Please display Your kind mercy.
