Tomáre dekhechi jabe shárada práte
Takhan shephálii phul jhare paŕeche
Nandanavan chilo gandhamadir
Ánanda bhará chilo manamájhe

Dhiire dhiire ele tumi tále tále
Sure laye chande sabáre mátále
Vyákul hiyáy bhálabása d́hálile
Unmaná dhará pelo tomáre káche

Tava mohan hásit́i d́hele dile ákáshe
Vátás madhur halo táhári reshe
Se hási gelo bhási deshe deshe
Paramáńu práń pelo tári parashe
Dhará ut́hilo hese dhará ut́hilo nece

তোমারে দেখেছি যবে শারদ প্রাতে
তখন শেফালী ফুল ঝরে পড়েছে
নন্দনবন ছিলো গন্ধমদির
আনন্দ ভরা ছিলো মনমাঝে

ধীরে ধীরে এলে তুমি তালে তালে
সুরে লয়ে ছন্দে সবারে মাতালে
ব্যাকুল হিয়ায় ভালবাসা ঢালিলে
উন্মনা ধরা পেলো তোমারে কাছে

তব মোহন হাসিটি ঢেলে দিলে আকাশে
বাতাস মধুর হলো তাহারই রেশে
সে হাসি গেলো ভাসি দেশে দেশে
পরমাণু প্রাণ পেলো তারই পরশে
ধরা উঠিলো হেসে ধরা উঠিলো নেচে

O lord,
when i saw you
on that autumn morning,
at that time, the shefa'li flowers
had shed.

The heavenly forest
was intoxicated with fragrance,
and my mind was full of bliss.

You came slowly with rhythmic steps,
charming all
with melody, rhythm and tune.

You poured love into restless minds.
The agitated world found you close.

You poured into the sky,
Your enchanting smile,
as after effect of which
the air became sweet.

That smile went afloat to different countries,
and even an atom got life by its touch.
The earth started smiling and dancing.
