Kindly tell me, tell me do...
(Tumi) Balo ámáre balo ámáre
By what means will I please You?
Kii diye tuśiba tomáre
Kindly tell me do.
Balo ámáre

Oh, Architect of the Vast Universe,
Mahávishver ogo sthapati
Setting for all diamonds, rubies, emeralds,
Hiirá máńikya jata marakata saḿsthiti
You're the owner of the whole Creation...
Sakal srśt́iri tumi adhipati
What can anybody give to You?
Tomáy ke kii dite páre

All wisdom and intelligence, all intuition and talent,
Vidyá buddhi bodhi maniiśá já áche
Every bit, at Your door they have reached their limit.
Sab kichu tava dváre báṋdhá je rayeche
What can possibly be had that would supplement them?
Er atirikta kii bá áche káche
In this world I am absolutely destitute.
Sarvarikta ámi saḿsáre

Sarvarikta ámi saḿsáre

O lord,
tell me,
offering to you,
what is there to satisfy you?

O controller of the universe,
collection of all gems,
You are the ruler of the whole creation,
what is there for me to give you?
Tell me.

Whatever intellect,
knowledge and skill i may have,
all find themselves bound at your door.

With something beyond it all,
I remain in this world.
