Tumi ele álo jválále
Práń d́hele bhálabesecha
Nayana melile mrdu hásile
Sakala duhkh dúre sariye diyecha

Anádare avaheláy
Kata je dinráti kát́iyá jáy
Vyathá bujhile tái ásile
Duháte áṋkhidhár muchiye diyecha

Ákáshe vidhu phulete madhu
Ámár káche chila hatáshá shudhu
Tumi ele rauṋ lágále
Rauṋer mádhuriite dhará bharecha

তুমি এলে আলো জ্বালালে
প্রাণ ঢেলে’ ভালবেসেছ
নয়ন মেলিলে মৃদু হাসিলে
সকল দুঃখ দূরে সরিয়ে দিয়েছ

অনাদরে অবহেলায়
কত যে দিনরাতি কাটিয়া যায়
ব্যথা বুঝিলে তাই আসিলে
দু’হাতে আঁখিধার মুছিয়ে দিয়েছ

আকাশে বিধু ফুলেতে মধু
আমার কাছে ছিল হতাশা শুধু
তুমি এলে রঙ লাগালে
রঙের মাধুরীতে ধরা ভরেছ

O lord,
You came,
kindled fire
and loved all wholeheartedly.

You opened my eyes,
You smiled softly
and removed all my afflictions.

In darkness and in negligence,
how many days and nights passed by?

You understood my pain,
and hence, you came.

With both hands,
You wiped off my tears.
The moon was in the sky,
the honey was in the flower,
only with me,
remained disappointment.

You came,
applied your colour
and filled the earth
with the sweetness of hues.
