Phire páoyár álo
Vyathár ráte sántvaná go
Tái to bási bhálo

Nishchidra timir ráte
Svarńapradiip niye háte
Tháko ámár sáthe sáthe
Náshi sakal kálo

Duhkhe tápe vedanáte
Ashru múche nijer háte
Kled kálimá sariye dite
Áshár pradiip jválo

(তুমি) হারিয়ে যাওয়ার দখিণ হাওয়া
ফিরে পাওয়ার আলো
ব্যথার রাতে সান্ত্বনা গো
তাই তো বাসি ভালো

নিশ্ছিদ্র তিমির রাতে
স্বর্ণপ্রদীপ নিয়ে হাতে
থাকো আমার সাথে সাথে
নাশি সকল কালো

দুঃখে তাপে বেদনাতে
অশ্রু মুছে নিজের হাতে
ক্লেদ-কালিমা সরিয়ে দিতে
আশার প্রদীপ জ্বালো

You are the delusing southern wind,
and the light of return to reality.

You are the consolation in the night of agony,
and that is why i love you.

During totally dark nights,
with a golden lamp in hand,
You stay with me
and annihilate my darkness.

During sorrow, affliction and pain,
