Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi je esecho álo sáthe enecho
Sabár maner kálo dúr karecho
Deshácár lokácár karo ni kona vicár
Sabáre samán bháve bhálabesecho

Asiim ákáshe tumi eki tárá
Tomári chande náce srśt́idhárá
Tomáre tuśite báje sab ektárá
Sabákár mane práńe áshá d́helecho

Eso tumi áro káche niti niti nava sáje
He nútan múk májhe bháśá bharecho

O lord, you came and brought illumination with you.
you removed the darkness of all minds.
You did not consider or discriminate
the worldly or countries' attitudes,
and provided love to all with equality.
you are the singular star in the infinite sky.
at your rhythm, the stream of creation dances.
all the musical instruments (ekta'ra') plays
for satisfying You.
you have poured hope into all minds and lives.
you come still closer always in evernew adornments.
o the new, you fill language into the throat of dumb.
