O lord,
Are You a star of far firmament?
are you the star of the distant sky?
Giving a stir to heaven and earth,
You dance, free from bondage.

Vibrating earth and heaven,
Matted hair unbound's been scattered;
You dance without bindings.
The third eye has been ignited.
Burning all black shadow to ashes,
You diffuse a flow of meteors.

Your unrestrained matted hair spreads about.
Though You kept distant, You are present;
Your third eye,
You drench mind's realm with affection.
located between the eyebrows, starts glowing.
Only You do I love;

I have lost my self-possession.
Burning to ashes all dark shades,
You flow the current of meteorites.

Even staying afar,
You are close.
Drench my mind with affection.
Loving you, i lose myself.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Tumi ki) Dúr ákásher tárá
Bhúlok dyulok spandita kari
Náca bandhanhárá

Uddám jat́á chaŕáye paŕeche
Trikut́ir áṋkhi jvaliyá ut́heche
Sab kálo cháyá bhasma kariyá
Chaŕáo ulkádhárá

Dúre thákileo káche ácha tumi
Mamatásikta kara manobhúmi
Tomákei bhálo básiyáchi ámi
Hayechi átmahárá

Are You a star of far firmament?
Giving a stir to heaven and earth,
You dance, free from bondage.

Matted hair unbound's been scattered;
The third eye has been ignited.
Burning all black shadow to ashes,
You diffuse a flow of meteors.

Though You kept distant, You are present;
You drench mind's realm with affection.
Only You do I love;
I have lost my self-possession.
