Tumi tamasár ságare jyoti ánile
Tumi áṋdhár dharáy álo bharile
Tumi phuler pápŕiguli ráuṋiye dile
Tár buker májhe madhu d́hálile

Tumi sátrauṋá rathete jakhan ele
Úśár áṋcal ambudháre ráuṋále
Jiiver utkańt́há sariye dile
Tái sakaler bhálabásá jinile

Járá andha tamasáte nimajjita
Mánav ádháreteo chilo prasupta
Tumi táder ghum bháuṋgále práń jágiye dile
Tái vishvamánaser rájá hale

তুমি তমসার সাগরে জ্যোতি আনিলে
তুমি আঁধার ধরায় আলো ভরিলে
তুমি ফুলের পাপড়িগুলি রাঙিয়ে দিলে
তার বুকের মাঝে মধু ঢালিলে

তুমি সাতরঙা রথেতে যখন এলে
ঊষার আঁচল অম্বুধারে রাঙালে
জীবের উৎকণ্ঠা সরিয়ে দিলে
তাই সকলের ভালবাসা জিনিলে

যারা অন্ধ তমসাতে নিমজ্জিত
মানব আধারেতেও ছিল প্রসুপ্ত
তুমি তাদের ঘুম ভাঙ্গালে প্রাণ জাগিয়ে দিলে
তাই বিশ্বমানসের রাজা হলে

O lord,
You brought light into the ocean of darkness.
You filled the dark earth with illumination.
You coloured the petals of flowers,
and poured honey into them.

When you came,
on the seven coloured chariot,
the scarf of rising sun
became coloured with a flow of water.

You removed the curiosity of living beings
and expressed love to all.
The human values of those
who had been submerged in cimmerian darkness
remained latent.

You broke their slumber
and aroused life in them.
The mind of the world's humanity thus became coloured.
