For whom is my restless mind hankering
For Whom is my ebullient heart yearning?
in rest, dream, sleep and awakened states?
Resting, dreaming, sleeping, waking...
Who is the Magician constantly calling me?

Who is that magician that continues to call me?
In every direction wafts a gentle breeze;
The sandal breeze blows in all four directions.
Between the clouds is light's beckoning.
By hand signals, effulgence invites itself
Flower pollen smeared with scent of honey,
through the gaps of clouds.
Of which distant kingdom does it sing?
Which distant melody are the floral pollen,
absorbed in sweet fragrance, singing?

My mind does not want to stay home;
Though mind won't agree to stay at home,
it does not know
Response to that call, it does not know.
how it is to reply to its caller.
My aggregate unexpressed consciousness,
My concentrated, unexpressed consciousness within
Having broken all impediments, what does it express?
wants to convey itself
and break asunder all obstructions.

Udvela hiya kare cay is the 708th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Udvela hiyá káre cáy
Shayane svapane nide jágarańe
Kon se máyávii d́eke jáy

Malaya vátás bahiche cáridike
Álor hátcháni meghera pháṋke pháṋke
Kusumaparága gandhamadhu mekhe
Kon sudúrer gán je gáy

Gharete thákite man je máne ná
Je d́áke táke sáŕá dite jáne ná
Puiṋjiibhúta avyakta cetaná
Sab bádhá bheuṋge kii shońáy

For Whom is my ebullient heart yearning?
Resting, dreaming, sleeping, waking...
Who is the Magician constantly calling me?

In every direction wafts a gentle breeze;
Between the clouds is light's beckoning.
Flower pollen smeared with scent of honey,
Of which distant kingdom does it sing?

Though mind won't agree to stay at home,
Response to that call, it does not know.
My aggregate unexpressed consciousness,
Having broken all impediments, what does it express?
