Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár jiivan dhanya karecho
Tomár apár priiti d́hele
Nandita kare chanda bharecho
Tomár atul liiláchale

Mamatár madhu enechile baṋdhu
Ámáre bharáte bháváloke shudhu
Hiyá upaciyá utsarjiyá
Aphurán práń bharechile

Cáo nái kichu náo nái kichu
Shata doś jene bhávo niko niicu
Calite balecho path dhare rju
Jyotir dháráy jharechile
Ananta diip jvelechile (tumi)

Fortunate You've made my life,
Conferring Your boundless love.
Cadence You've packed for delight,
Through pretext of Your matchless sport.

Lover, You'd brought kinship's honey
To load me with thought's splendor only.
The devout and effusive heart
You had filled with endless vigor.

For naught You crave, and You take nothing;
Knowing my many flaws, You don't despise me.
Straight along the path You've told to proceed
By the stream of light You had shed;
The lamp eternal You'd ignited.
