Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár tare akátare kii ná diyecho
Kii ná diyecho (go prabhu)
Bhávjagate alakśyete
Ese basecho

Kaite kathá mari láje
Kii chilo mor áj kii áche
(Chilum) Dhulor pare hatádare
Káche t́enecho

Maner májhe chilo ná rúp
Jvaleni diip sugandhidhúp
(Chilum) Bhayál ráte tamisráte
Kole tulecho

Áj bujhechi sabi tomár
Eká tumii sárátsár
(Mor) Ektáráte niirav práte
Gáne hesecho

For my sake what haven't You given abundantly?
What haven't You doled, oh Lord!
In the realm of thought, at a place invisible,
Having come, You've taken seat.

I suffer shame to say a word;
Today what's mine of what had been?
In the dust, I'd been neglected;
You have tugged me near.

Amid the mind had been no form;
Lit I not a perfumed resin or torch.
Fearsome I'd been on a night dismal and dim;
Onto lap You've lifted me.

Today I've realized that all is Thine;
Just You alone, the gist most sublime.
On my one-stringed lyre on a morning quiet, ,
Within song You have beamed.
