Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Báṋshari bájiye jáy sahása nayane cáy
Goloker hari áji gokule liilá racáy
Raiṋjita adhare nandita kare
Sabáre d́eke' d́eke' bale káche chut́e' áy

Keu tár par nay keu dúrer nay
Sabái átmiiya manane sabáre páy
Jamuná ujáne jale ucchala chalachale
Úrmimálá dole tár guiṋjámáláy

Duśt́a daman hetu shiśt́a pálan tare
Adharma kál-ketu dhvaḿsa kariváre
Áse se báre báre d́auṋkára t́auṋkáre
Táhár samán nái guńadhám e dharáy

Playing the flute, looking with smile,
the Lord of heaven creates
illusory play liila’ in Gokul, today.
Pleasing with colored lips,
calling all, He says,
“Come rushing closeby”.
Nobody is alien for Him.
Nobody is distant. All are own,
all get Him mentally.
The river Yamuna’ overflows with tides,
with series of waves swinging like
the garland of colored guinja’ seeds.
For the purpose of suppressing the wicked,
For preserving the righteous and
for destroying the annihilating comet of unjust,
He comes again and again
with the twang of drum. Like Him,
there is no abode of attributes in this earth.
