Kon se ajana srote is the 3412th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2] The order of this and the previous song is inverted in the latest Bengali source for no clear reason. It might be the correction of an error, or it might be due to the numbering on the recordings or other contemporary reasons. In any event, the revised numbering is retained here.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kon se ajáná srote
Esechile álo háte
Ghum bháungáte ei ráte
Áṋdháre ávrta chilo
Vikásher shatadala
Se nishiithe

Ashrunihita vyathá
Racechilo itikathá
Ná páoyár vyákulatá
Keṋdeche malaya váte

Kata suśamár ráshi
Anádare geche bhási
Kata jyotsnár hási
Misheche tamasáte

On which unknown tide,
Lamp in hand You had arrived
This very night to shatter slumber mine?
By darkness had it been ringed,
The lotus blossoming
That midnight.

Pained sorrow tear-laden
Had composed a chronicle.
Anxiety of non-attainment
Upon vernal wind has cried.

Many collections gorgeous,
Neglected, have floated off.
Moonlit smiles copious
Have mixed with ignorance and vice.
