Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Lukiye patha calá e kii liilá
Lokalocane kena náhi áso
Tomáre herite manane dharite
Cáy je tárá jáder tumi bhálabáso

E tava vakragati kisera tare
Sahaj saral pathe man ná dhare
Se satya avikrta jugántare
Tomár májhe tá' ki neiko lesho

Athavá hayto mor e bojhári bhul
Sádhárań mánadańd́e tumi atul
Tomáre bujhite gele bhinna pratiiti mele
Tái dhará náhi diye dúre theke' tumi háso

O Lord, moving secretly on the path,
what a liila’, illusory game of Yours is this.
Why do not You come within sight of the people?
Only those whom You love, want to search You
and keep into the folds of their minds.
What for is this jagged, curved movement of Yours,
why on simple straight path the mind
is unable to hold You?
There is absolute, undiformed truth
within You since eternity.
Does not even trace of that remain?
Or probably it is mistake of my understanding,
as by ordinary measuring scale standards,
You are uncomparable. While trying to understand You,
different realizations come. Perhaps because of that
\You do not let anyone grasp You
and You stay smiling remaining far.
