Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nandanamadhu manthana kari
Ánanda sudhá enechi (ámi)
Chande chande mandánile
Maner mádhurii eṋkechi

E pátra bhará áche amrta
Karibe kśudhá trśńá paritrpta
Jagater jata mahá bubhukśá
Met́ávár tare bharechi

Parvat nadii van upavan
Periye esechi udvel man
Sabár lágiyá sabáre cáhiyá
Vasudháy[nb 2] sudhá d́helechi

Churning the honey from paradise,
I have brought ambrosia of delight.
With poetic meters on a mild breeze,
I have sketched the sweetness of psyche.

This vessel, it is flush with nectar;
It will fully satisfy hunger and thirst.
Whatever great appetite of this world,
I have filled my pot for its removal.

Mountain and river, jungle and garden,
Crossing them, I have come with teeming heart.
For the sake of everybody, gazing at everyone,
I have poured out nectar on the world.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In both the audio file and some Roman script versions, we find vasudhár here. However, vasudháy is given in the latest Bangla book.[2] In context, the latest Bangla text seems to be correct.
